Whether it was more time spent on Fallout and Rust, the sheer hours still to put into Witcher 3 or any number of 40+ hour titles like XCOM or Stardew I simply have had a full plate. That said, IвЂ™ve had huge games taking up time this year. I didnвЂ™t get as far this year with my usual вЂone a weekвЂ™ challenge, capping out at only 43 games IвЂ™ve reached the sort of credit sequence I usually count as having been completed. This year has had the likes of The Witness, Dark Souls 3, Uncharted 4, Inside, The Last Guardian and a bunch of really exiting multiplayer shooters I really havenвЂ™t had the time to commit to. The more grounded style of SR2 meant the over the top stuff in SR2 was that much funnier thanks to the contrast.ItвЂ™s been quite a year, with some absolute blasters releasing consistently throughout. SR3 was also the start of the SR games being over the top all the time. Or the bodyguard missions where youвЂ™d protect the celebrity by throwing obsessed fans into the helicopter blades or off the top of the building. It was missing some of the funnier side missions from SR2 as well, like driving a sewerage truck to spray sewage all over buildings to reduce their value for a real estate developer.

It was like they just took the side missions from SR2 and made them the main missions and didnвЂ™t include any of the main missions, making the game much smaller. Part three wasnвЂ™t bad, but the story was utterly incoherent, half the missions were locked behind DLC and it was much lighter on content compared to SR2. The second really perfected the formula, fixing the bugs and performance issues of the first while adding a whole slew of great new features. The first was hilariously buggy but pretty good fun anyway.
